Terms of Service

1. Eligibility & Accounts

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and for all activity that occurs under it. We use email one-time passcodes and, optionally, a connected Solana wallet for authentication. You agree to provide accurate information and to keep it up to date.

2. The Service

Snakr lets you scan food product barcodes to view nutritional information, ingredient and additive analysis, and a health score, and to discover alternatives. Product data is aggregated from third-party databases and community contributions and is provided on an "as is" basis.

Platform note: wallet connectivity, blockchain features, and SNAK rewards are available only in the version of Snakr distributed through the Solana dApp Store. The Apple App Store and Google Play versions do not include these features. Accordingly, Section 5 (SNAK Rewards) and Section 6 (Wallets & Blockchain), and the wallet-signing and reward aspects of Section 4 (Community Contributions), apply only to the Solana dApp Store version.

3. Not Medical or Dietary Advice

All nutrition information, health scores, and related content are provided for general informational purposes only and are not medical, nutritional, or dietary advice. Product data may be incomplete, outdated, or inaccurate. Always read the physical product label and consult a qualified healthcare professional before making decisions based on the Service, especially if you have allergies, intolerances, or medical conditions. You use the Service at your own risk.

4. Community Contributions (Oracle)

When a product is not found, you may contribute it by submitting information and photographs of the product and its labels (a "Contribution"). You represent that you have the right to submit each Contribution and that it is accurate and not misleading. By submitting a Contribution, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual license to use, reproduce, modify, publish, and distribute it as part of the Service and our product database.

We may review, approve, reject, edit, or remove any Contribution at our discretion. Do not submit content that is unlawful, infringing, or that you do not have permission to share.

5. SNAK Rewards

The Service may credit "SNAK" rewards for eligible actions such as approved Contributions. You acknowledge and agree that:

• SNAK rewards are currently issued on a test network (devnet) and have no monetary value and no guarantee of ever having monetary value.
• Rewards are promotional, discretionary, and may be changed, paused, reduced, or discontinued at any time without notice.
• Eligibility, amounts, and any future distribution, claim, or migration (including to a main network) are determined solely by us and may require additional conditions.
• Rewards are not an investment, security, or promise of future value, and nothing in the Service constitutes financial advice.
• We may withhold or revoke rewards obtained through fraud, abuse, automation, or violation of these Terms.

6. Wallets & Blockchain

Certain features let you connect a self-custodial Solana wallet and sign messages or transactions. You are solely responsible for your wallet, its keys, and any assets it holds. Blockchain transactions are irreversible and outside our control. We do not custody your wallet or private keys and are not responsible for losses arising from your use of a wallet or third-party wallet software.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms;
• Submit false, misleading, infringing, or malicious content;
• Attempt to game, farm, or manipulate rewards, including through bots, scripts, or multiple accounts;
• Reverse engineer, disrupt, overload, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its infrastructure;
• Scrape or misuse data from the Service except as expressly permitted.

8. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its software, design, and branding, is owned by us and protected by applicable laws. Except for the rights expressly granted to you, we reserve all rights in the Service. Third-party product data and trademarks remain the property of their respective owners.

9. Third-Party Services

The Service relies on third parties, including food databases, wallet providers, and infrastructure providers. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or content of any third-party service, and your use of them may be subject to their own terms.

10. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, error-free, or that any data (including nutrition information) is accurate or complete.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, rewards, or digital assets, arising out of or relating to your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim or USD 50.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties. You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
